Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Banned" On The Feet
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Banned" on the feet
Banned by the NBA in 1985, Michael Jordan was charged $5,000 per game for wearing the Air Jordan 1 "Black/Red" because they did not include the white color of the official Chicago Bulls team. As a marketing strategy, Nike created a "Banned" campaign around sports shoes to launch and promote the Air Jordan series.
His sneakers were retro-designed in 1994, 2011, 2013 and 2016. The 2011 pair of shoes has an "X" on the heel to pay tribute to the nickname "Banned".
